No description This morning we got up around 9am and drove down to Karlshrue to see where we used to live (18 years ago). It was another beautiful sunny day. The ride from Heidelberg to Karlshrue is a little over a half hour. When we got there we drove around looking for our old apartment building. We found it, though Dad says they've changed it quite a bit. They were also tearing down the old Officer's Club which was just around the corner from the old apartment. The buildings all now belong to Germany and they've renovated them. I even found the only thing that I remember of Germany. The old orange tube with holes in it and a slide at the top. When I first saw it, it looked really small, but then I realized that I was younger than 3 when I was probably playing in it. Once we were done looking at the old apartment, we went to find some parking near the Karlshrue Palace and find something to eat. We ate lunch at a nice little pub which had great Jagerschnitzel which is fried pork with a mushroom sauce. After lunch we walked around the palace and took pictures. It was really gorgeous. There was some sort of festival going on this weekend that everyone was setting up for. There looked like there was going to be a concert that weekend. After wandering around for a few hours we went back to the car and drove back to Heidelberg to find some dinner. On the way back we decided to take a detour through France so we went south for a little ways from Karlshrue and then went east across the Rheine River to France. Once over the Rheine we tried to go north but couldn't quite figure it out. We went through one round-a-bout three times, the last time taking us the right direction :-) It also started drizzling a little bit. Once we got back to Heidelberg and found parking in Heidelberg we walked around looking into shop windows when it started raining a little bit more. So we found dinner. I was stuffed from lunch that day so I just had a salad that was very good. After dinner we went back
