No description Today we packed up and left Heidelberg on our way to
Garmisch where we will stay for a week. The ride from
Heidelberg to Garmisch was about 4 hours. Traffic was
great, not once did we stop, although there was a little
construction. Coming into Garmisch we went through a 2250m
tunnel (a little over a mile) that looked fairly new.
Once we were in Garmisch we checked into our "Deluxe Cabin"
and then went into town for lunch. Lunch was fantastic yet
again and the weather was absolutely beautiful. After lunch
we walked around town and looked in some shops. We then went
back to the cabin and relaxed for a while. The cabins
are really neat. The are two story with just mattresses
upstairs. There is also a bedroom downstairs. There is a
small kitchenette and a little dining area. And since it's
a "Deluxe" cabin, it has running water as well as a bathroom.
After relaxing, it started to rain really hard. Next stop
was trying to find some dinner. Again, we went into downtown
Garmisch and found another little restaurant. If I come
back knowing anything about Germany, it's that they
have really great food and beer. After dinner we came back
and watched "O, Brother, where are thou?" on my laptop
and went to bed.
